We’d like to wish a very happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there reading DailyINK!
In honor of your special day, here’s a selection of our favorite recent Father’s Day strips:
The Pajama Diaries, by Terri Libenson
The Family Circus, by Bil and Jeff Keane
Sally Forth, By Francesco Marciuliano; drawn by Craig Macintosh

Baby Blues, By Rick Kirkman and Jerry Scott
Sally Forth, By Dean Young and John Marshall

Dennis the Menace By Hank Ketcham, Marcus Hamilton & Ron Ferdinand
Dustin, by Steve Kelley and Jeff Parker
Edge City, By Terry and Patty LaBan
Hi and Lois, By Brian Walker, Greg Walker and Chance Browne
Happy Father’s day. All really good ones, and I especially like the way Ray Billingsley never sugar coats things!
“Curtis” sure ain’t no “Quincy” and that’s a lot to be greatful for. This strip is wise, street smart, real and funny. African Americans in the funnies have evolved nicely since “Quincys” day and the comic pages are brighter for it.
It’s a shame Aaron McGruder retired “Boondocks” though a better incarnation is in animation and “Jump Start” seems more like watching Cosby. “Curtis” still has bite.
I’ll never for the life of me understand why the NY Daily News dropped it. That strip spoke to this town.
